Trained as a chef at the Ecole Hoteliere in Marrakech, Hassan Ziadi has lived and worked as a chef in Morocco, Washington DC, France, Qatar, Spain, Germany, and eventually Minneapolis. After 10 years as owner and chef at Moroccan Flavors in the Midtown Global Market, Chef Hassan closed his fast casual restaurant at the end of November. His wife, the talented pastry chef Raja Samlali, is currently scouting for a location for their next culinary venture – a bakery cafe that will feature Raja’s pastries and breads, and a selection of Hassan’ most popular dishes.
Jeremy Iggers is a retired restaurant critic for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. His other passion, besides eating, is travel. Jeremy has organized tours to Cuba and Iran.
